Job description

Our night porters provide a concrete contribute to the authentic luxury experiences of our Guests, demonstrating constant customer centricity, passion for service, Guests satisfaction and team working.

The night porters are responsible for guest transport, greeting guests and assisting guests with their luggage during arrival and departure, managing deliveries and collections from guest rooms during their stay, managing the transport of hotel packages and parcels, ensuring a high level of cleanliness in the lobby, in the luggage storage room and in the other public areas, assisting guests at the FO Desk and responding to a wide variety of guest requests, ensuring our guests receive the highest levels of service excellence.
This role reports directly to the Front Office Manager of the Hotel and cooperates with the other Night Porters and colleagues of the Front Office (Front Office Supervisor, Guest Relations Manager, Front Office Manager Assistant, Front Office Agents, Night Auditor, Booking Supervisor and Bellboys).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcoming Guests upon arrival, providing them with any information they need to enjoy their stay;
  • Maintaining professional relationships with Guests and Colleagues;
  • Anticipating Guests’ desires and needs;
  • Preventing, managing and signaling Guests’ inquiries, concerns and complaints;
  • Responding promptly and satisfactorily to Guests´ requests and emergencies;
  • Mastering of check-ins and check-outs,
  • Managing the valet parking and the luggage service on arrival and departure,
  • Leading the shuttle service to Salò historic centre,
  • Running the errands,
  • Monitoring and responsibility of the entrance area and public spaces on cleanliness, security and order,
  • Supporting the Night Auditor, such as by answering the phone if necessary,
  • Keeping punctuality and high standards of personal presentation and grooming, according to the procedures of the Employees’ handbook,
  • Complying with the Lost&Found procedure,
  • Warning timely the FOM/FOS of any maintenance problems,
  • Covering several Holiday and eventual daily shifts.

Job requirements

Minimum 2 years´ work experience preferably at a high-level Hotel in the same role,

Italian and English confidence are mandatory. A third language is desired: preferably German,

Confidence with Hotel Management software such as Sihot or others is preferable,

Solid and proven customer service skills,

Customer centricity, high attention to details, problem solving, punctuality, proactivity, flexibility, team working skills and ability to fast learning and multitasking are a must,
